SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

The community service committee is excited to announce that we will be going forward with our annual school supply drive. This is the third year, and while it will look a little different, we feel could be the best year yet. As schools gear up for a unique year, getting supplies to every kid is more important than ever. While we will not be able to collect and sort due to COVID, we have put together an Amazon list with options to buy supplies for the kids. Along with backpacks, this year we are looking for used computers to be donated to help with remote learning. Below you can find a link to buy supplies/backpacks and the minimum requirements for laptops.

  • The computer or tablet must have had Windows 10 previously installed.
  • The computer must have the Windows 10 Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker attached.
  • Processor: 1 gigabyte or faster
  • RAM: 4 gigabyte or more
  • Hard Drive 30 gigabyte or more
  • Graphic card: DirectX 9 or later

Apple MacBook or IPAD

  • MacBook or IPAD must at least OS 10.13 High Sierra
  • Processor: 1.83 gigabyte or faster
  • RAM: 512 MB or more
  • Hard Drive 80 gigabyte or more

Help our Community Services Committee make breakfast for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House near downtown Denver. This event has been cancelled, die to COVID-19 and the Colorado Stay at home order. Our committee is looking into other dates to serve.

 

 

Volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Colorado Cookie Delivery Day - Held each February

Historically, Denver Chapter of IFMA members have volunteered at the Cookies Delivery day for Girl Scouts of Colorado. This is the easiest and most fun volunteering time you can ever have! There are 7 sites around metro Denver so you can choose one that’s most convenient for you.  If you can hold a clipboard and count cases of cookies this job is made for you – no construction, electrical or plumbing skills needed!  If you have questions contact Myrnan Fronczak at Myrnan.fronczak @ gscolorado.org or 303/921-7997.

 

Annual Silent Auction - Held during our Annual Holiday Party

The Silent Auction is a great way to help raise money for a local chairty(s) with items attendees of the Holiday Party & Awards can bid on through our bid app. If you have items you would like to donate, please contact our committee.  We also take toys for tots at the Holiday Party and need help with the onsite logistics.
