Designed by Dennis Supple, CFM, SFP, this special five-piece challenge coin set celebrates the spirit and values of our chapter. The centerpiece is a 4-inch, double-sided coin representing our four core values: Excellence, Integrity, Knowledge Sharing, and Leadership.
Every member receives the center coin – “The Member” – symbolizing the heart of our chapter community.
The four surrounding coins can be
earned through engagement by demonstrating our core values while helping advance the chapter’s strategic goals. Members can earn them by:

1. Center Coin: The Member (the core of our chapter)- all members receive this coin when they join.
Earn the other four coins by demonstrating our core values while advancing our five strategic goals. Each coin can be earned through two to three achievement pathways, giving members flexibility based on their interests and involvement.
2. Excellence Coin- Striving for the highest quality
Ways to Earn This Coin
Option A - Awards & Recognition Contribution
· Participate in preparing, submitting, or supporting an IFMA Awards of Excellence nomination.
· Contribute to a chapter program, event, or initiative that directly supports our goal of competing and succeeding in IFMA’s Awards of Excellence.
Option B - High‑Impact Project Participation
· Lead or support a chapter project that improves operational quality, enhances member experience, or strengthens financial soundness.
· Examples: improving event processes, enhancing partner value, or contributing to a cost-saving initiative.
Option C - Professional Development Achievement
· Complete an IFMA credential course or training that aligns with our goal of reducing training costs and increasing accessibility.
· Share a brief reflection or takeaway with the chapter to inspire others.
3. Integrity Coin-
Ethical, transparent, responsible
Ways to Earn This Coin
Option A - Financial Stewardship Contribution
· Volunteer on a committee or project that supports financial transparency or cost‑saving efforts.
· Examples: helping evaluate training subsidies, supporting budget-aligned event planning, or contributing to partner stewardship.
Option B - Ethical Community Engagement
· Serve as a volunteer at two or more-chapter events, demonstrating reliability, responsibility, and professionalism.
· This supports member engagement and balanced representation.
Option C - Accountability & Transparency Action
· Submit a process improvement idea that increases transparency, reduces waste, or improves communication within the chapter. Must be reviewed by a board member or committee chair.
4. Knowledge Sharing Coin-Open collaboration
Ways to Earn This Coin
Option A - Present or Facilitate Learning
· Present at a chapter event, lead a roundtable, or facilitate a breakout session.
Option B - Mentor or Peer Support
· Serve as a mentor to a new member, student member, or emerging professional.
· Alternatively, host a small peer-to-peer knowledge session (virtual or in‑person).
Option C - Contribute to Chapter Resources
· Write an article, create a resource, or contribute content for the website that supports professional development or highlights best practices.
5. Leadership Coin-Empowering professionals to grow
Ways to Earn This Coin
Option A - Committee or Project Leadership
· Chair or co-chair a committee or lead a project that advances one or more strategic goals.
· Examples: membership growth initiatives, partner engagement, training programs, or awards submissions.
Option B- Event Leadership
· Lead the planning or execution of a chapter event, tour, or program.
· Must demonstrate strong coordination, communication, and member engagement.
Option C - Recruitment & Representation
· Recruit at least one new FM member or partner to support the goal of balanced membership growth.
· Alternatively, represent the chapter at a community, industry, or IFMA event.
