Sponsor a FM Membership

Do you know a facility management professional who would benefit from joining IFMA Denver?

Through the FM Sponsorship Program, Associate Members can sponsor a Facility Management (FM) professional by paying one year of their IFMA membership dues. It’s a great way to strengthen the FM community, introduce new professionals to IFMA, and build meaningful relationships within the chapter.

How the Program Works
As an Associate Member, you can sponsor one or more FM professionals (Students and Young Professional FMs are also allowed) to join IFMA Denver. Your sponsorship covers the FM professional’s first year of membership dues. In return, sponsors are encouraged to take an active role in helping their sponsored member get the most out of their IFMA membership.

Sponsors should:

• Encourage their sponsored FM to attend IFMA Denver events and programs.
• Help them learn about IFMA educational and certification opportunities.
• Introduce them to other IFMA Denver members.
• Help them become connected and engaged within the chapter on a committee.
• Encourage them to take advantage of networking, professional development, and volunteer opportunities.
• After the first year, the sponsored FM member will be responsible for renewing and paying for their own membership.

Who Can Participate?

• All IFMA Denver Members are eligible to sponsor FM professionals.
• Associates may sponsor as many FM members as they wish.
• An Associate Member may not sponsor another Associate Member.
• The sponsored individual must qualify for FM membership through IFMA.

Important Considerations: 
If you are sponsoring an FM professional, please confirm with the individual's employer or management that accepting a membership paid for by an Associate Member does not violate company policies or ethics requirements.

Government employees: State, local, and federal government employees may have restrictions on accepting memberships or benefits paid for by another organization or individual. Sponsors and prospective members should confirm eligibility before participating.

Ready to Sponsor an FM Professional?
The process is simple:

1. Identify an FM professional.
   Think of a facility manager, building manager, property professional, or other qualified FM professional who would benefit from joining IFMA Denver.
2. Complete the sponsorship form. Provide the information needed for the new member to join through IFMA Headquarters.
3. Pay the membership dues. Once the new member information is submitted, an invoice will be provided for the sponsor to pay online through IFMA Headquarters.
4. Get your sponsored member connected! Once their membership is active, introduce them to fellow members, invite them to events, and help them become an active part of the IFMA Denver community.
